Wired or Wireless Under Kitchen Cabinet Lighting in Weston, FL; Xenon, Puck, Fluorescent Lights & More

One of the things people love to upgrade and make a place that stands out above the rest is the kitchen. The kitchen is a place that everyone in the house will use to make meals, snacks, bake and even hang out. Most people want to have a space that is beautiful as well as useful when they need to be in there. The kitchen is the top most renovated space in any home because of the beautiful and amazing additions you can add to the space. One of the things you want to make sure you get right in your kitchen is the lighting. You want to have a good amount of light that can be used to create what you need to work as well as enjoy the space. There are ceiling lights that add the main body of light, fixtures that add texture and creativity to the space and you can add under cabinet lights as well. Burley Electrical Services outlines under cabinet lighting options.

Xenon Lights for Under Kitchen Cabinets

One of the most common and longest used lights for cabinets have been xenon fixtures. They require the use of a xenon bulb and they offer a wide range of light. They give a good smooth looking light that will create the depth that you want. The problem is that these fixtures tend to get hot and create problems for the items on the counter below. You have to be sure that if you use these you clear the space and do not place any food that can possibly melt of flowers that will wilt under the heat. The other con of using these types of lights is that tend to suck up and use a lot of energy that will end up showing up on your power bill. It is best to only use these types of lights if you want to have an occasional area that has the extra light. They are not supposed to be used as a constant option.

Puck Lights

If you want to add some light under the cabinets you can get what is called a puck light. The puck lights are just like the name suggests the shape of a hockey puck. They can be used with a xenon bulb, halogen or even an LED light. They each offer different colors but the LED is the most common option. They have some great benefits with one being they do not create heat that will disrupt your kitchen. The other amazing benefit is that these lights will work on batteries so that you do not have to have wires under the cabinets. This makes it so that you do not have to commit to them if you don’t like them once they are installed.

Under Cabinet Fluorescent Lighting

Another common light that people will have installed for under cabinet lights are called fluorescent lights. They are a great option for homes that want to have lights that can be cool and constant as well as connected so that the string of lights is not interrupted. They can be wired into a switch so they can easily be turned on. The bad thing is that most people want more light then the fluorescent bulbs usually offers.
