Why Light Bulbs Burn Out Quickly in Lauderdale Lakes, FL; Wrong Wattage of Fixture & More

When you are trying to take care of a home there are lots of things that will need your attention. The work that goes into keeping a house functioning is more than just getting everyone on task and out the door on time. You also want to make sure that the house and all the elements are working as well. One of the problems that you have is with the light bulbs around your house. Each and every room in the house has a light fixture whether it is a ceiling fan, light fixture that is hard wired in or a lamp that has been installed. You load those fixtures with light bulbs that will over some time burn out. When they burn out you have to go around the house and replace them. Depending on the light you are using it will have a potential amount of hours that it should last. If you notice there are some lights that are going out more often than the rest you could have a problem.

Burley Electrical Services Outlines Why Light Bulbs Keep Burning Out Immediately All Over the House

Light Bulb Heat: When you have a fixture that you are using light bulbs in there are recommended watts you need to be aware of. The watts you use can have an impact on the light that is produced as well as the length of time that the bulb will last. If you use a bulb that has a higher wattage than is recommended the light bulb will start to create too much heat. When this happens the filament that is in the bulb will overheat and that will cause the bulb to blow out. You want to make sure that if you notice that a particular fixture continues to burn out the bulbs you check the watts that are recommended. Making that adjustment may be just what is needed.
Light Fixture Vibration & Movement: You want to also keep an eye on the fixture that is tending to have a problem. When there is too much movement or vibration within a fixture it can lead to the bulb and the filament to become damaged. Once that happens your bulb will no longer work. This happens more often when you have lights that are part of a ceiling fan. The fan may not be installed correctly and if it is not balanced it may have too much movement. If this is happening you want to have the fan reinstalled or replaced by an electrician.
Damaged Light Fixture Not Working: Another problem you might be having when the bulbs burns out quickly is with the actual fixture. There are times that the wiring is not done right and that will cause the bulbs to die out. Another problem is with the connection that the bulb and the fixture use as a way to produce the electricity that is needed. If there is a gap in that area or it is damaged you may need to have the fixture replaced.
