Best Lighting for a Bathroom Without Windows in Lauderdale Lakes, FL; Bright LED Light Bulbs, White Color & More

Any time you have a bathroom without any windows in it, getting the lighting that you need can be a challenge. This is one area in your home that it is essential to have ample lighting. Most people expect there to be a significant amount of lighting in that room so that they can apply makeup, complete skincare routines and other tasks that require the right amount of lighting to accomplish the task successfully. Burley Electrical Services is here to share some tips to help make the most out of the lighting in your bathroom that doesn’t have any windows.

Best Light Bulbs for Vanity & Bathroom

Getting enough lighting in your bathroom starts with choosing the right light bulbs to get the light that you need. It is important to remember that you are going to be turning the lights on and off a great deal since you don’t have any natural lighting in this space. This is why halogen incandescent or florescent light bulbs aren’t the best option. Their lifespan is greatly decreased when the lights are turned on and off constantly. You are going to get the most out of your bathroom lighting when you choose LED light bulbs. That way, you don’t have to worry about how often you are turning on and off the lights, these bulbs are affected by that.

Bright Bathroom Lighting

When you choose incandescent light bulbs for your home, the brightness is measured using watts. If you have chosen LED light bulbs, their brightness is measured using lumens. In a space that has windows and offers natural light, you don’t have to rely on your lighting to do nearly as much as a bathroom that has no windows. In that case, you will be looking for the bulbs in your bathroom to equal about 2000 lumens. Most regular light bulbs in a regular setting are about 800 lumens or 60 watts. If you are using 800 lumen bulbs, you will need to use enough of them that you have at least 2000 lumens total in the space.

What Color Light is Best for Bathroom

Something that sets LED bulbs apart from incandescent bulbs is the light temperature can vary as well. You don’t have that customization option with incandescent bulbs. The temperature and color of LED bulbs is measured using Kelvins. Warmer colors are going to have a lower number. If the light emitted from the bulb is brighter like natural light and cooler, it will have a higher number. The ideal range for a bathroom without windows is between 3000K and 4000K.
